Isaac companion setup
Isaac is a keychain-size robot head: an ESP32-S3 with a 1.14 inch display behind a smoked window, a microphone, a speaker, a motion sensor, and a battery, in a mint shell. It is the reference body file and your on-chain identity device.
First boot
- Charge it over USB-C until the charging face fills.
- Install the agent and plug Isaac in. The agent finds it over USB serial.
- Register Isaac from the
isaacbody file, then pair it to your wallet. - On the pairing page, send it your Wi-Fi details. Isaac then reaches the agent over MQTT on your LAN, or the voice service directly when it is away from your computer.
Using it
- Hold the top button to talk; release to send. Isaac listens, thinks, and answers in a few words.
- Side button A cycles moods; B mutes. Hold both for five seconds to reset Wi-Fi (the identity key stays).
- Tap, shake, pick up, set down: Isaac reacts, even with no computer around, from its on-board rule skill.
- Sales, verified skills, and rewards show up on its face when it is paired.
Build your own
The free Isaac build listing has the body file, STLs, the window DXF, the PCB, firmware, and the assembly guide.
A hand-built variant using an ESP32-S3 devkit and breakout modules validates too (robot.modules.isaac.yaml).
