Calibration
Calibration measures what the body file cannot know: IMU offsets, motor deadbands and directions, encoder
ticks per revolution, servo ranges, and display offsets. The agent runs each step against the connected robot
and writes the result to the board with CAL_SET; the values also land in the body file's calibration block,
which the generators bake into firmware defaults.
| step | what to do |
|---|---|
imu-still |
Leave the robot still on a level surface. |
motor-direction |
Lift the wheels; each motor spins briefly and you confirm the direction. |
encoder-ticks |
The agent turns each wheel a known number of revolutions. |
servo-range |
Jog each servo to its end stops. |
display-offset |
Nudge the test pattern until it is centred. |
Run the steps from your robot's page under Fleet. Calibration is excluded from the body hash, so recalibrating never changes your robot's on-chain identity.
