Getting started
Isaac Tools is an open physical-AI platform for indie robot builders. One body file describes a robot; the BOM, wiring diagram, firmware, sim model, and calibration profile are generated from it. Builds and skills are sold for USDG on Robinhood Chain, and contributors earn for teleop data, verification runs, and shared telemetry.
The loop
- Design. Write a body file in the editor or by hand. See Your first body file.
- Buy. Pick a build on the store. Parts link to AliExpress; Isaac Tools holds no inventory.
- Simulate. Drive any body file in the browser sim.
- Deploy. Install the agent and flash the firmware.
- Train. Describe a behavior to the Skill Foundry, or record teleop data for a data request.
- Operate. Register your robot on-chain and watch it in the fleet view.
What you need
- A browser wallet (any EVM wallet) on Robinhood Chain. Browsing, the editor, and the sim work without one.
- USDG for paid listings, stakes, and bonds. Everything else is free: nothing is gated behind rewards or stake.
- For hardware: an ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or similar board, and the local agent on the computer it plugs into.
Run it locally
cp .env.example .env
docker compose up -d # Postgres, MinIO, Anvil (or run anvil natively)
pnpm install
pnpm dev # deploys the contracts to Anvil, then web, api, and voice
Open http://localhost:3000. The dev chain is Anvil (chain 31337); its first ten accounts hold mock USDG.
